Not following back describes a current relationship. Unfollowed describes a change. Blocked describes an account restriction. A relationship export does not establish all three.
Not following you back
This means an account appears in your following list but not in your followers list. With complete, comparable files, you can compute this directly.
It does not tell you whether the person followed you before, when anything changed, or why. The free analyzer provides a preview of this list.
No longer in your follower list
If an account appears in an earlier export but not a later one, it has disappeared from the observed follower list.
An unfollow is one possible explanation. Other possibilities include a changed username, an unavailable account, or incomplete source data. A comparison cannot establish the person’s reason or the exact time of a change.
Use a description such as “not present in the later export” when that is all the evidence supports. See how to compare snapshots for a practical approach.
Who blocked whom?
An exported list of blocked accounts records accounts you blocked. It is not a list of people who blocked you.
The Reports web analyzer does not determine who blocked you. It also does not log in to accounts to test restrictions. Do not interpret an empty profile, a missing username, or a relationship count as proof by itself.
What about profile viewers?
Follower and following files do not contain a verified list of profile visitors. Interaction records also should not be relabeled as confirmed profile visits.
Before using any analysis, check its underlying source and what the metric actually means. Our data and methods page explains the boundaries of this website.
Use the distinction to choose the right next step
If your goal is to review one-way relationships, use a current export. If your goal is to observe changes, save comparable snapshots over time. If you need to understand an account restriction, a relationship comparison alone cannot answer it.
